8 CE in the heart of Houston
December 8, 2023 - Taught by an Endodontist and a General Dentist
Real-life scenarios in the op, and how to make them faster, easier, and more predictable, by a GP and an Endodontist
One of the greatest grey areas in dentistry is the relationship between a general dentist and the endodontist. This is especially true when general dentists, like Dr. Ankur Gupta, do A LOT of their own root canals and endodontists, like Dr. Ryan Walsh, place A LOT of final restorations. Which teeth need treatment, which need referrals, who will place the build-up and how do we do this while maintaining the highest level of patient care? Respecting expectations while maintaining a strong working relationship can be challenging. In this full-day seminar, Dr. Gupta and Dr. Walsh will highlight the clinical scenarios that cause high stress situations and provide pragmatic real-world solutions. They will discuss the latest techniques, materials and products to promote a healthy relationship between the general dentist, the endodontist, and most importantly, the patient!

Ankur A Gupta, DDS
Ankur A Gupta, DDS, after completing a one-year GPR in Cleveland, started a practice from scratch in 2005. Armed with what he considered adequate dental knowledge, hand skills, and a personable demeanor, he watched as his practice floundered, finances became un-predictable, and his lower back and spirit toward his profession became worrisome. Rather than continue the trend, he made a guinea pig out of his office, family, and self; attempting any and all personal and professional “experiments” in self-improvement.
More than a decade later, he enjoys excellent new patient numbers and case acceptance, a solution oriented dental team; and most importantly, a meaningful and positive identity.
He happily shares the failures and successes with dental and community groups throughout the country, always ending his presentations with practical, implementable, step-by-step ways to be better.
Dr. Gupta graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2004. In 2005, after completing a one-year General Practice Residency in Cleveland, Ohio, he and his partner Dr. Nisha Gupta started North Ridgeville Family Dentistry. In addition to founding North Ridgeville Family Dentistry, Dr. Gupta is a member of the American Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, ADA Success Speaker Corp and an active board member and a speaker for Catapult Education’s Speaker Bureau.
